| About measures taken to protect clients' financial instruments and systems for investors protection |
EQUILOR Ltd. is a member of the Investor Protection Fund. The Investor Protection Fund is an individual legal entity which, on the basis of legal provisions and its own regulations and using subscription fees received from its members and other income to provide limited insurance for property in the event that one of its members is unable to deliver the given client claims for lack of coverage, i.e. is unable to perform his/her obligation to make deposits available. The insurance provided by the Investor Protection Fund covers the contracts concluded for agency, trading, portfolio management, security safekeeping, custody, client account maintenance and security account maintenance activities. The amount of indemnity that can be paid by the Investor Protection Fund to an investor has been raised to HUF 6 million as of January 1, 2008. The proportion of indemnity to be paid to the investor is 100% up to HUF 1,000,000, and for amounts over HUF 1,000,000 it shall be 90% for the portion exceeding HUF 1,000,000. Therefore, the maximum amount of indemnity has reached and exceeded the level of indemnity of EUR 20,000 required from the EU member states pursuant to the directive 97/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council.
